A grounding system should be used in all buildings with electrical wiring. All establishments using a grounding system are required to carry out grounding measurements regularly to ensure the safety of the system.

Relevant legislation and standards
- According to the “Grounding Regulations in Electrical Plants” published in the Official Gazette dated 21.08.2001 and numbered 24500, it is compulsory to make grounding measurements in all facilities annually.
- As indicated in Table 3 of Annex-III section of the “Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment” published in the Official Gazette dated 25.04.2013 and numbered 28628, grounding measurements must be made at least 1 (once) a year.
- According to the “Regulation on Health and Safety Measures to be Taken in Workplace Buildings and Extensions” published in the Official Gazette dated 17.07.2013 and numbered 28710, the grounding measurements are taken into consideration by the provisions of the Regulation on Grounding in Electrical Facilities published in the Official Gazette dated 21.08.2001 and numbered 24500 and records must be kept.
